Art Classes at the GSA

The GSA is happy to offer an expanded schedule of Art Courses this term!

We are also very happy to have local experts Ms. Thanh Pham and Mr. Bardia Saadi-nejadonboard to help you tap into your creativity and start realizing your artistic potential.

Thanh has worked with the National Film Board, the Montreal Gazette, and has an ongoing exhibition of her photographic work at Bibliothèque et Archives Nationales du Québec (BANQ). You can see some of Thanh’s extensive collection at Pink Gorilla Design.

Bardia has taught over 15 different classes and many GSA members have appreciated his talent and energy over the past two years. Bardia’s passion and belief in his students’ abilities are evident as you hear his voice cascading through the halls of the graduate house during class. Oh, in addition to being a gifted communicator, he is also a very talented artist, graphic designer, and filmmaker.

Boring, but important, administrative stuff you have to know.

1. Registration for all classes will begin Monday November 6 at 10am and continue all of next week. Class sizes are very limited and will be filled on a first come, first served basis. No e-mail requests for spaces will be accepted.

2. Please bring exact change and your Concordia Student ID. These courses are open to the greater Concordia community, including graduate students’ families, staff, and faculty members. Please let your family members know about this opportunity.

3. Please note there are additional material requirements for each class and students are responsible for bringing appropriate materials. In order to get the most out of the photography class you must have more than a “point and click” camera. While the skills you will learn are certainly transferable to other types of cameras the class is designed to get people using a more advanced camera. 4. Due to the small size of these classes, there will be no refunds issued but a partial credit for a future class may be provided. The GSA reserves the right to cancel a class at anytime and provide you with a full refund or appropriate credit for future courses.
