John Molson School of Business Directors 2012-13

As always we welcome our JMSB members to the table. The GSA benefits from their industriousness, efficiency, and professionalism in many ways and we are again lucky to have four strong voices at the table to represent the interests of JMSB members. These positions are all acclaimed this year as there are four open seats for the four eligible candidates.

1. Niranjan Bhakare

Hello friends!! I am studying MBA in 1st year. I want to be JMSB Director in order to make liaison between all faculties of Concordia. The people learn not only from books but from the interaction with different view points. Each faculty has its own culture, own frame of reference and own strengths. To be evolved intellectually and socially, I think, all faculties should interact more intensely and frequently. There should be more combined events between all faculties to increase the dialogue between students of different faculties. As GSA is great platform to express ideas and to implement them, I am looking forward to increase the communication between faculties. Let’s interact to learn and to make Concordia experience more memorable! If you have any questions please feel free to contact me at -niranjan.bhakare@gmail.com.

3. Tara Walker

I’m a first year MBA student but I have many years of experience in the non-profit sector and as a cultural entrepreneur.  Before heading back to school, I worked within the screen-based media industry in BC and Manitoba. My work included leading advocacy campaigns, developing programs and organizing planning initiatives. I also launched and managed a product design company for seven years with a partner. I’ve served on several boards in the past, actually appreciate good governance. I’m currently volunteering with several student-run groups including JMSB’s Sustainable Business Group (as In Prospect Consultant). I’m originally from Vancouver Island and I have a BA in History and Film Studies from UVic. I’m looking forward to representing the grads of JMSB and getting to know students from beyond the MB building… we have so much to share! Contact me if you are interested in finding out more – ta_walk@jmsb.concordia.ca

4. Mahmood Salehi

I am happy to be your JMSB director for the upcoming academic year. I am an  MBA student with lots of on-campus student experience. This is my second time as JMSB director in GSA. I would do my best to ensure that every initiative approved and adopted by GSA would help to secure accessible education for fellow students. I am also interested in improving student life experience on campus as a part of GSA services. I am a net worker. I am a connector. I am your director! Please feel free to come by and have a chat over coffee in your lovely, cozy GSA lounge.

Have your say
