Volunteering Opportunities

Concordia’s President has initiated the STRIVE Task Force, standing for “Standing Together against Racism and Identity-based Violence,” in response to the urgent need to address manifestations of identity-based violence (IBV) affecting underrepresented communities within our university.

The STRIVE Task Force will oversee and coordinate efforts to combat IBV across the institution. It aims to assess and enhance anti-discrimination measures at Concordia while promoting diversity and inclusivity in the face of growing polarization.

The Steering Committee, comprising diverse stakeholders including co-chairs, students, faculty, alumni, and staff, will lead the Task Force’s activities. Specifically, it will adopt a comprehensive approach to understanding and addressing various forms of IBV on campus.
