About the Position:
The role of the Council Chair involves setting and calling meetings, and disseminating relevant documentation to council members. Additionally, the Council Chair is responsible for mediating the meetings of the Council of Directors according to the most recent version of Robert’s Rules of Order.
Scope of the Job
The Council Chair will be required to attend all GSA Council Meetings and will be remunerated $85 CAD per Council Meeting (in accordance with the 2021 GSA By Laws) . The position is for the entirety of the 2021-2022 academic year.
Requirements & Assets
- Must be a GSA member for the entire 2021-2022 academic year (graduation must be Spring 2022 or later);
- Must be familiar with the GSA By Laws;
- Must be familiar with Robert’s Rules of Order;
- Have the ability to control & mediate a debate.
