During our December 20th, 2021 Council Meeting some of our directors took to social media in order to denounce the GSA’s decision to spend funds on a subsidy program that will provide 3 months of LinkedIn Premium to a pool of graduating students to help them find employment after they finish their studies.
These statements incorrectly stated that this subsidy would take up one-third of the total GSA budget and that the subsidy was only open to ENCS students.
This subsidy will be open to students of all faculties and will be awarded proportionally by faculty on the basis of merit. This subsidy accounts for a third of the subsidy budget and will be one of many available subsidies during this term.
When this subsidy opens, we encourage students from all faculties to apply as there is no telling what opportunities you can find on LinkedIn.
